iOS Developer

Role Overview
We're looking for an iOS Developer to help build and scale our native iOS POS application from the ground up. You'll work on payment-critical features Tap to Pay, secure authentication, real-time transaction handling - in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.

Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
Implement Tap to Pay on iPhone using NMI's ChipDNA SDK (or similar payment SDKs)
Build secure authentication flows including passkeys
Integrate REST APIs and handle real-time webhook-driven data
Work closely with backend (Node.js/NestJS) and web teams to ship end-to-end features
Write clean, testable, maintainable Swift code and participate in code reviews
Debug and optimize app performance, memory usage, and reliability
Collaborate directly with founders/leads on architecture decisions, lock designs upfront before writing code
AI-Native Development
Build with AI tools as a core part of our workflow, not an afterthought. You'll be expected to work fluently with Claude Code, Cursor, and prompt-driven workflows for scaffolding, debugging, and code review, using AI to accelerate execution, not replace design thinking.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Swift and SwiftUI
Solid understanding of iOS app architecture (MVVM or similar), Xcode, and the App Store submission process
Experience consuming REST APIs and handling async data
Understanding of iOS security fundamentals (Keychain, biometrics, secure storage)
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly on technical tradeoffs
Good to Have
Experience with payment SDKs (Tap to Pay, Stripe Terminal, or similar)
Experience with WebAuthn/passkey implementations
Exposure to UIKit (for legacy/interop work)
Familiarity with push notifications, background tasks, and offline-first app design
Hands-on use of Claude Code, Cursor, or other AI coding tools in real projects
Prior experience in fintech, payments, or POS systems
