Role Description
The Corporate Trainer – Cisco is a full-time role responsible for delivering high-quality instructor-led training across multiple Cisco technology domains, including Data Center, Routing & Switching, Enterprise Networking, Security, Wireless, and Collaboration. Daily responsibilities include delivering technical training, developing and customizing course content, conducting practical labs and demonstrations, and translating complex concepts into structured, learner-friendly material. The role also involves identifying opportunities for custom Cisco and cross-technology courses, developing Cisco Derivative Works (DW), and managing the DW lifecycle from identification and development through submission and approval. The Corporate Trainer will collaborate with internal stakeholders and Cisco teams, conduct technical reviews to maintain content quality and accuracy, and stay current with emerging Cisco technologies, certifications, products, and training requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess 4–8 years of relevant experience in Cisco technologies, technical training, networking, or a related domain.
Candidates should possess strong technical expertise across multiple Cisco domains, including Data Center, Routing & Switching, Enterprise Networking, Security, Wireless, and Collaboration.
Candidates should possess proven experience delivering instructor-led Cisco technical training.
Candidates should possess experience developing, customizing, and reviewing technical training content, including practical labs, demonstrations, exercises, and learning materials.
Experience developing custom Cisco courses and cross-technology training programs is preferred.
Candidates should possess an understanding of Cisco Derivative Works (DW) and associated development, submission, and approval processes. Prior experience managing or coordinating Cisco DW approvals is highly preferred.
Candidates should possess strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to learners with varying levels of expertise.
Candidates should possess strong stakeholder management and coordination skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with technical, business, and Cisco stakeholders.
Prior experience as a Cisco Corporate Trainer or Technical Instructor, particularly within a Cisco Learning Partner environment, is preferred.
Broad exposure to multiple Cisco technology domains and experience developing customized training programs for enterprise customers are advantageous.
Relevant Cisco certifications and experience with Cisco and adjacent cross-technology solutions will be an advantage.
