YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled Packet Core Designer Engineer to support the deployment, integration, testing, migration, and software lifecycle management of Nokia Packet Core solutions, with a primary focus on Cloud Mobility Gateway (CMG) environments. The role involves end-to-end technical delivery activities, including onboarding, integration, troubleshooting, software upgrades, acceptance testing, and customer support during deployment and operational handover phases.
The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, customers, Technical Project Managers (TPMs), Care teams, and 4LS organizations to ensure successful delivery of Packet Core solutions according to approved designs and Nokia best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Deployment & Integration
Act as a Packet Core (PaCo) Subject Matter Expert with specialization in CMG and CMM solutions.
Deliver Packet Core technical solutions according to approved Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
Generate and validate instantiation templates and MOPs based on LLDs and data fill sheets.
Perform onboarding and deployment of Packet Core nodes.
Configure and integrate PACO nodes in accordance with approved design documentation.
Support feature activation and validation activities.
Testing & Acceptance
Execute System Integration and Functional Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
Prepare and maintain ATP execution reports and associated artifacts.
Perform feature activation testing and support customer acceptance activities.
Troubleshoot deployment, integration, and ATP-related issues.
Coordinate with Customer teams, Care teams, and TPMs for issue resolution.
Incident & Problem Management
Open and manage trouble tickets through approved channels, including:
Internal JIRA
Salesforce
Customer ticketing platforms
Perform root cause analysis and support issue resolution activities.
Provide post-deployment stabilization support when required.
Migration Activities
Support Packet Core migration projects and service migration activities.
Participate in migration planning, execution, validation, and troubleshooting.
Ensure migration activities are executed according to approved MOPs and customer requirements.
Software Upgrade Activities
Prepare upgrade MOPs and supporting documentation.
Develop upgrade-related artifacts and implementation procedures.
Perform software upgrade testing in lab environments.
Create and maintain Golden MOPs for software upgrade activities.
Execute software upgrades of PACO nodes.
Provide post-upgrade support and coordinate with Care and 4LS teams during critical situations.
Operational Readiness & Handover
Support delivery-to-Care handover processes.
Ensure all technical documentation and operational artifacts are completed prior to project closure.
Participate in operational readiness reviews.
Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement
Deliver Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions to internal and customer teams.
Capture lessons learned and best practices in organizational knowledge management tools.
Support internal process improvements and JIRA workflows.
Assist colleagues and project teams as required.
Contribute to the development of PACO node certifications in coordination with KMCD.
Support Activities
Provide 4-Eye support during critical project activities.
Deliver L2 support for projects where explicitly agreed with the customer or delivery organization.
YOUR PROFILE
Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Telecom Core Network Integration.
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Nokia Packet Core solutions, CMM and CMG.
Proven experience in deployment, integration, testing, migration, and software upgrade projects.
Fluent English (spoken and written).
Additional languages are considered an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
Ability to work independently in complex technical environments.
Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
Effective collaboration across multicultural and geographically distributed teams.
Ability to manage priorities in high-pressure deployment and migration scenarios.
Required Technical Skills
Mandatory
Strong experience with Nokia PaCo solutions.
Expert knowledge of CMG and CMM.
Hands-on experience deploying and integrating PACO nodes.
Experience interpreting and implementing solutions from LLDs.

Experience with Linux-based telecom environments.
