Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Draftsman role based in Kolkata. The Mechanical Draftsman will prepare detailed mechanical drawings and engineering diagrams for equipment and installations, following project specifications and industry standards. The role involves using CAD software to create and revise technical and engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with quality requirements. The Mechanical Draftsman will collaborate with design engineers and project teams, interpret sketches and design concepts, and support documentation needed for manufacturing, assembly, and installation. The position also requires maintaining organized drawing records, updating revisions, and coordinating with production and installation teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Mechanical Drawings and Engineering Drawings for industrial equipment and systems.
Proficiency in Technical Drawing, including dimensioning, tolerances, and drafting standards.
Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D and 3D mechanical drafting.
Understanding of Design Engineering principles relevant to mechanical components and assemblies.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Ability to interpret engineering specifications, standards, and manufacturing processes.
Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and strong organizational skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers and production teams.
Previous experience in an engineering manufacturing environment is an advantage.
