Laboratory Assistant (gn) - Nightshift

Start: Immediate | Level: Intermediate | Location: Elmshorn | Working hours: Full-time I Shift hours: 10.30 pm – 7.00 am (including a 30-minute break)

As a Laboratory Assistant (gn), you support our quality control lab with all preparatory and organizational tasks, making sure samples, materials and workstations are always fully ready for testing. You have a completed vocational training or an interest in lab work, and you'll get an ideal entry point into the lab world of an internationally active food company – with structured onboarding and development opportunities all the way up to Chemical Laboratory Assistant. Your mission
You receive, label and split samples, and prepare them for testing
You prepare lab equipment, consumables and reagents, and keep workstations clean and ready to use
You record and maintain lab-relevant data in LIMS and support the documentation of test procedures
You support the lab team with preparatory tasks and carry out routine work according to SOPs
You comply with hygiene, quality and workplace safety requirements and contribute to 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
You support stock counts as well as the preparation of internal and external audits
Your experience & skills
You have completed vocational training, ideally in a scientific, food-technology or technical field – career changers with an interest in lab work are just as welcome
You ideally already have some experience in a lab or in food production, though this isn't a requirement
You work carefully, in a structured way, and reliably
You have good German language skills as well as basic PC skills (MS Office); experience with LIMS is a plus
You're a team player, take ownership, and enjoy working in a structured environment
