Tool Management Executive

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to manage end-to-end tool management activities within the manufacturing/engineering environment. The role involves ERP transactions, procurement coordination, tool inventory tracking, tool movement control, maintenance planning, storage management, and rework coordination to ensure smooth production support and asset accountability.
Key Responsibilities :
• Maintain and update the Master Tool Tracker with accurate tool data, status, location, and usage history.
• Monitor tool availability and ensure timely allocation to production requirements.
• Track tool movement between stores, shop floor, vendors, and maintenance locations.
• Conduct periodic physical verification and reconciliation of tool inventory.
• Perform ERP transactions related to tool receipt, issue, return, transfer, and consumption.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement, stock levels, and tool lifecycle data in ERP systems.
• Generate reports and dashboards for inventory status, tool utilization, and shortages.
• Raise purchase requisitions and coordinate with procurement teams for tool ordering.
• Follow up with suppliers for delivery schedules, quotations, and tool availability.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, and preservation of tools as per standards.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, calibration, refurbishment, and repair activities for tools.
• Prepare and monitor rework plans for damaged or non-conforming tools.
• Support production teams by ensuring timely tool readiness and availability.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Required Skills :
• Knowledge of tool management processes in manufacturing or engineering industries.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle ERP, or similar platforms.
• Strong inventory management and documentation skills. • Good understanding of procurement and supply chain coordination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
• Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or related engineering discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in tool management, stores, production support, or inventory control.
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, tooling, or precision engineering environments preferred.
