Furnace Technician

WHAT IS ON OFFER
Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Furnace Technician to join our team in Lea Green, St Helens.
We’re looking for a highly attentive and proactive individual to become a part of our Laboratory department. You will ensure compliance with ISO 17025, ISO 14001, and CLAW regulations while applying high precision to all daily testing and fire assay duties. You’ll be responsible for prioritizing furnace workflows, maintaining equipment, and keeping the lab safe and organized.
Acting as a key communicator across the shift, you will work closely with supervisors to report issues, complete tailored training, participate in PDRs, and drive a collaborative, high-standard working environment.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
Knowledge of metalliferous commodity analysis
High attention to detail
Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong teamwork and collaboration
Ability to work independently and follow supervisor instructions
Self-motivation and working on own initiative
Adaptability and time management to meet changing priorities and deadlines
Required Work Experience
Experience in a commercial analytical laboratory environment / commercial furnace room environment would be desirable but not essential.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of GCSE or equivalent education.
