HRIS & HR Operations Intern (MIS)

ABOUT THE ROLE
Fueling Brains is a growing, vibrant organization poised to change the narrative of education through a
holistic, whole-brain approach to the development of young children. Our Chennai team runs HR systems
and HR operations for our workforce across Canada and the US.
We are looking for two data-driven graduates to join us as HRIS & HR Operations Interns. This is a 3-
month internship with a path to a full-time HRIS Analyst role for interns who meet the performance
criteria.
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
• Location: Chennai, working from the office, with a short evening stretch from home.
• Working hours: 12 PM – 7 PM IST in the office, plus 1–2 hours from home in the evening, wrapping
up by 9–10 PM IST, to overlap with our North American teams.
• Duration: 3 months.
• Stipend: ₹15,000 per month.
• Openings: 2.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Support HR operations for Canada and the US, including maintaining employee records in
BambooHR, onboarding and offboarding workflows, and routine HR queries within defined
turnaround times.
• Build and automate HR reports and dashboards on headcount, turnover, onboarding, and
certification tracking.
• Audit HR data for accuracy and completeness, and fix missing, outdated, or inconsistent records.
• Track compliance items, such as certification expiry dates, and flag upcoming renewals.
• Use AI tools to process complex data, speed up reporting, and improve the quality of your work.
• Document processes and help build SOPs for the HR systems team.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 2025/2026 graduates in Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Systems, IT,
BBA/MBA with an MIS or HR Analytics specialization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. You'll work directly with HR and
leadership teams in Canada and the US, so you'll need to explain data clearly, write professional
emails, and handle employee queries with confidence.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets and data analysis skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and
data cleaning.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Copilot) to work with data
or produce reports, with good prompting skills.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.
• Comfort with the working hours above, and a reliable home internet connection for the evening
stretch.
• The ability to handle confidential employee information responsibly.
GOOD TO HAVE
• Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or SQL.
• Exposure to any HRIS/HRMS tool, such as BambooHR, Zoho People, or Keka.
• An interest in HR analytics or HR technology as a career.
