Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MEP Specialist role based in Chennai. The MEP Specialist will be responsible for overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in building projects, ensuring design accuracy, installation quality, and compliance with relevant standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and site teams to resolve MEP-related issues and maintain alignment between design and execution. The role will involve reviewing drawings and models, performing site inspections, monitoring progress, and supporting the resolution of technical challenges. The MEP Specialist will also contribute to project planning, documentation, and quality control to help deliver efficient and reliable building services.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) knowledge, including experience with MEP coordination across disciplines.
Candidates should possess skills in Plumbing and Plumbing Design, with the ability to interpret and develop plumbing layouts, specifications, and installation details.
Candidates should possess familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for reviewing, coordinating, and updating MEP models and drawings.
Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant experience in building construction projects.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with on-site and office teams.
Candidates should possess good communication skills and the ability to interpret codes, standards, and client requirements; prior experience in Chennai or similar urban projects is an advantage.
