Senior Director of Technical Innovation

Role Description The Senior Director of Technical Innovation is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the design and execution of technology-driven initiatives that support Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito 15 de Abril Ltda.’s strategic objectives. This position oversees the identification, evaluation, and implementation of innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency, member experience, and digital financial services. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing cross-functional innovation projects, guiding technical teams, and coordinating with senior leadership to align technology investments with business priorities. The Senior Director will define innovation roadmaps, manage pilot programs and proofs of concept, and establish performance metrics to assess impact and scalability. The role also involves monitoring emerging technologies, cultivating external partnerships, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and responsible innovation across the organization.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills to interpret complex data, assess technology opportunities, and support evidence-based decision making.
Proficiency in Program Management to oversee multiple innovation initiatives, coordinate resources, and manage timelines and budgets.
Demonstrated Project Management capabilities to lead end-to-end implementation of technical solutions, manage risks, and ensure delivery of defined outcomes.
Experience in Strategic Planning to align technology innovation with organizational goals, develop long-term roadmaps, and prioritize initiatives.
Consulting skills to engage stakeholders, understand business needs, and translate requirements into practical technical strategies.
Proven leadership experience in technology, product, or innovation functions, preferably within financial services or cooperative environments.
Advanced understanding of digital platforms, financial technologies, cybersecurity considerations, and data governance best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders and present complex concepts clearly.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote setting, manage distributed teams, and use collaboration tools to drive outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or a related field; a graduate degree or equivalent experience in innovation or technology leadership is an asset.
