Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, curious, and result-driven Senior Software Engineer to join our Secure Workload Access (SWA) SaaS team. In this role, you will help build the future of secure workload communication by designing and operating distributed systems across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and identity systems. You will own significant features from technical design through production deployment, ensuring scalability and operational efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to shape cloud-native security and centralized policy-driven access management at enterprise scale.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and operate scalable cloud-native SaaS services for Secure Workload Access.
Build highly secure and reliable components for workload authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement.
Own features and services end-to-end, from technical design and implementation to deployment.
Contribute to architecture discussions, design reviews, and provide well-reasoned technical tradeoff input.
Implement seamless integrations with Kubernetes, cloud providers, identity systems, and PKI solutions.
Improve the scalability, resiliency, observability, and operational efficiency of owned services.
Collaborate with product managers and architects to turn requirements into well-designed solutions.
Review code and actively mentor less experienced engineers through knowledge sharing.
Troubleshoot production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and improve operational readiness.
Promote engineering best practices, including rigorous testing, documentation, and code quality.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of proven software engineering experience, including design, implementation, and operational ownership.
Strong hands-on experience developing backend systems and distributed services in Golang.
Solid experience building and operating cloud-native or SaaS platforms at scale.
Deep understanding of APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and service-to-service communication.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and the broader cloud-native ecosystem.
Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex tasks and take ownership of results.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical ideas and tradeoffs clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in security and identity systems, specifically workload identity, authentication, and authorization.
Familiarity with networking, encryption, PKI, JWT/SVID technologies, or SPIFFE/SPIRE.
Proven experience running production systems with high standards for reliability, performance, and security.
Strong familiarity with observability practices such as logging, monitoring, tracing, and debugging.
Comfort and adaptability working in fast-moving environments with changing product requirements.
