Now Hiring a Dispatcher — Serving Exeter, Epping, and Newmarket Schools in New Hampshire
Pay: $32.00 per hour per union contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. | 40 hours per week
At First Student, our Dispatchers help keep students moving safely and routes running on time. You’ll coordinate buses and drivers, handle daily schedule changes, and keep communication flowing between the location team, drivers, monitors, and school customers.

What You’ll Do
Coordinate bus routes, driver assignments, and daily schedules.
Monitor on-time performance and resolve pickup and drop-off issues.
Handle a high volume of phone and radio communication.
Coach and support drivers and monitors.
Receive scheduling concerns and driver complaints and communicate them to the Operations Supervisor or Contract Manager.
Serve as a primary contact for school customers.
Assist with charter reservations, billing, or driver payroll as assigned.
Provide backup driving coverage and clerical support as needed.
Support daily operations and complete special projects.
What You’ll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent.
Three to five years of relevant experience.
Previous terminal operations, dispatch, or driver experience.
Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
The ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines.
Computer proficiency.
Additional Requirements
Subject to DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
