Vice-President of Technical Management

Role Description The Vice-President of Technical Management at Nacional de Seguros Perú is a full-time remote leadership role overseeing the organization’s technology strategy, product delivery, and software development initiatives. This role is responsible for guiding technical teams, defining architectural standards, and ensuring that solutions align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day activities include prioritizing and managing the product roadmap, reviewing technical designs, monitoring project performance, and resolving complex technical issues. The Vice-President collaborates closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including business, operations, and risk teams, to drive innovation, optimize cloud-based solutions, and enhance system reliability and security. This role also involves mentoring technical leaders, establishing best practices, and representing the technology function in executive discussions and strategic planning.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Software Development, with experience leading engineering teams and overseeing end-to-end delivery of technical solutions.
Proficiency in Product Management, including defining product vision, managing roadmaps, and aligning technology initiatives with business goals.
Hands-on experience with Java and C#, with the ability to review code and guide technical decisions in these languages.
Deep knowledge of Cloud Computing architectures and services, including migration, security, scalability, and cost optimization strategies.
Proven track record in senior technology or engineering leadership roles, ideally in financial services, insurance, or similar regulated industries.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment, fostering collaboration and accountability across locations and time zones.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
