Our lead Managing Director in this area has led multimillion-dollar investigations into cybercrime, financial statement fraud, asset misappropriation and bribery, and has testified in civil, labour and criminal courts. He also brings the perspective of a former chief risk officer who built a risk consulting team for a major Thai conglomerate. That combination of investigative, courtroom and boardroom experience helps clients understand what happened, address the risks it exposed and strengthen their response.
The Role:
Senior Associates in the FTID team support the work of more senior colleagues, and take the lead on pieces of quantative work.
Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day activities of BRG's Bangkok office through excellent investigation, quality analyses and preparing key deliverables for internal and external use
Utilize business, finance, accounting, and analytical skills to perform tasks including, but not limited to quality of earnings, financial trend analysis, working capital trending, and benchmark, financial statement review, business plan assessments and cash flow statements
Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment; collaborate with TA and BRG experts, professionals from other firms and client contacts to achieve engagement objectives
What We Are Looking For
We are currently recruiting for Senior Associates in our Bangkok office. The ability to think through complex issues and to present logical analysis in a clear, concise manner is vital to the services we provide to our clients. Collaborative working skills are essential, as we often work in small, focused teams.
We highly value a record of outstanding academic work in candidates and so require a first or upper-second honours degree in your University qualification.
Additionally, candidates should demonstrate:
A high level of enthusiasm and proactivity
An attention to detail
The ability to communicate ideas succinctly
Strong quantitative skills, relevant degrees may be beneficial and this will be tested in the interview process
When required, the ability to produce high-quality work under tight timelines
A willingness to take ownership of work
The ability to work as part of a team and effectively with others
A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance or related field
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in a consultancy environment (e.g Professional Services, Management Consultancy, Valuations, or Disputes and Investigations)
Currently working towards your CPA or equivalent
Strong analytic and quantitative skills (including proficiency with analytical/statistical software such as R and Excel), along with practical problem-solving abilities
Strong problem solving and project management skills
Strong relationship building skills
Ability to work well independently or in a team dynamic
Our Bangkok practice will be supported in studying for a chartered accountancy qualification.
