Mill Operator

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Mill Operator to join our team at our St. Louis, MO Milling location. A Mill Operator is responsible for the overall operations of the milling department and employees.
Responsibilities:
Directly oversees and monitors production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications
Optimize operational efficiencies to support the facility's production
Facilitate maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime
Ensure the mill is organized and clean at all times
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
Make sure all production personnel follow SOP’s, GMP’s, OSHA and HAACP guidelines at all times
Will be required to maintain documentation of a variety of activities and inventories. These may be either on a paper format or electronic format
Must learn and execute basic equipment maintenance to improve production reliability
Make recommendations for line efficiency and productivity improvements
Communicate effectively with other supervisors in mill, maintenance, packaging and loadout departments and assist when needed
This role requires regular presence on the plant floor, requires lifting up to 50 lbs
Qualifications:
Previous flour milling experience required
Bachelor of Science, Milling Science and Management or IAOM Correspondence Course completion
Ability to communicate effectively
Must be comfortable using a computer and able to learn new software for production
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays required
