Pay
$18.18 - $22 / hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Schedule
1st Shift (flexible hours between Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ; 20 hours/week during the school year, up to 40 hours during summer and breaks).
Only candidates within commuting distance to Collegedale, Tennessee will be considered.

Job Summary
McKee Foods Corporation is seeking Retail & Operations Intern to join our Bakery Store and Retail team in Collegedale, TN. We are seeking a versatile and motivated Intern to support our team across multiple facets of our business, from our retail floor to our bakery store operations. This is a high-impact role where you will play a key part in modernizing our reporting systems, enhancing our digital presence, and streamlining the customer experience. You will work closely with leadership to gain hands-on experience in business operations, social media strategy, and event coordination.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Office Support and Systems Migration
· Assist in the significant transition of our sales reporting systems from Excel to Google Sheets
· Maintain and update weekly sales reports to provide actionable business insights
· Learn and execute inventory controls, stock transfers, and the cash register audit process
· Collaborate with and provide cross-functional support to multiple company departments to drive organizational objectives and streamline problem-solving
· Merchandising & Inventory Development
· Contribute to merchandise development by brainstorming and helping design product ideas targeted toward a younger demographic
· Collaborate with Bakery Store Manager to create and implement scannable tags to improve the customer checkout speed
· Lead efforts in the organization and optimization of merchandise inventory
· Manage and streamline the inventory ordering and replenishment processes to ensure operational efficiency
· Social Media Support
Responsible for posting on Facebook and TikTok content and material as directed by management and in alignment with brand and marketing with McKee Foods’ guidelines
· Promotion Execution & Marketing
· Coordinate the promotional calendar alongside the manager
· Execute in-store merchandising for promotional displays
· Design flyers and digital images needed to build awareness for upcoming promotions
· Event & Logistical Support
· Provide logistical and operational support for all activities related to the Bakery Store's involvement at our annual sales conference
Required Qualifications
· Current enrollment in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field
· Creative mindset with an understanding of current social media trends (especially TikTok)
· Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail in inventory management
· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail and food service environment
· High level of initiative, assertiveness and self-direction
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team
· Ability to perform with minimal supervision (as your skills and knowledge increase)
· Strong desire and aptitude to learn quickly and develop new skills
Preferred Qualifications
· 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale
Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel is highly preferred
