Adjunct Instructor in the English Department - Fiction

The Department of English at Calvin University invites applications for part-time instruction in the area of creative writing: fiction. Additionally, there may be need for English 101: Written Rhetoric. The appointment will be for the spring semester, beginning January 2027.
REQUIREMENTS
A commitment to the Christian faith and a willingness to integrate that faith into classroom teaching and student development is essential. Candidates are expected to affirm the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.
An MFA is preferred, but all applicants must have a strong and active record of publication in fiction. Other genres are not currently needed—applicants for fiction only.
All applicants must demonstrate the ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods and instructional technology as required. Teaching at the university level is preferred.
