Role Description The IT Network Engineer at GH ADVANCE will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing network infrastructure to ensure stable and secure connectivity across the organization. This part-time, remote role involves configuring network devices, managing access controls, and responding to network incidents and performance issues. The IT Network Engineer will perform routine diagnostics, troubleshoot connectivity problems, and implement network changes and upgrades as needed. The role also includes collaborating with other IT team members, documenting network configurations and procedures, and supporting best practices for network security and reliability.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Network Administration and Network Engineering, with experience managing routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Demonstrated expertise in Network Security, including access control, encryption, and security best practices.
Proficiency in Troubleshooting network issues, performance problems, and connectivity failures using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Solid foundation in Information Technology concepts, including operating systems, basic server administration, and IT infrastructure.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with cloud-based networking, monitoring tools, or scripting/automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
