Role Description
The Product Manager / Product Owner / Product Operations Specialist guides the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of products, digital platforms, or customer-facing solutions. This role connects customer needs, business objectives, market insights, and technical capabilities to ensure products are valuable, usable, commercially effective, and aligned with organisational strategy.
The position works closely with engineering, design, data, marketing, sales, customer success, operations, and senior stakeholders to define product priorities and support end-to-end delivery. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, analysing customer feedback, defining product roadmaps, managing backlogs, writing user stories, coordinating releases, monitoring performance, and ensuring teams have the processes, documentation, and insights needed to deliver effectively.
The role also supports product operations by improving planning, workflow, communication, reporting, and cross-functional alignment. It tracks adoption, engagement, conversion, customer satisfaction, product quality, and delivery performance; identifies improvement opportunities; and helps translate data and feedback into prioritised product decisions, operational improvements, and scalable growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Product Management, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Design, or a related field.
Experience in product management, product ownership, product operations, business analysis, project delivery, digital products, or a related role.
Strong understanding of the product-development lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering to delivery, launch, measurement, and continuous improvement.
Experience gathering customer, business, and technical requirements and translating them into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and priorities.
Ability to develop and maintain product roadmaps, backlogs, release plans, product documentation, and stakeholder updates.
Experience working with agile delivery methods, including Scrum, Kanban, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and cross-functional delivery teams.
Familiarity with product-management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Asana, Trello, Notion, Productboard, Aha!, or similar platforms.
Ability to analyse product performance using metrics such as adoption, activation, engagement, retention, conversion, customer satisfaction, feature usage, and revenue impact.
Experience using customer research, market analysis, competitive insights, support feedback, and product analytics to inform prioritisation and product decisions.
Strong ability to coordinate stakeholders across engineering, design, marketing, sales, customer success, operations, and leadership teams.
Understanding of user experience, usability, customer journeys, process design, and digital-product best practices.
Experience supporting product launches, release communications, go-to-market readiness, training materials, and operational handovers.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, organisational, and stakeholder-management skills.
Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms is advantageous.
Professional certifications in product management, agile delivery, Scrum Product Ownership, business analysis, or project management are an advantage.
