Candidates applying with a current valid work permit and requiring a licence upgrade, must have at least twelve months of remaining validity on the work permit at the time of application.
Your role:
You are responsible for safely transporting what we call “the most precious cargo” to and from school
Ensure students’ safety while boarding and exiting buses.
Be responsible for performing pre/post- trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety.
Help fuel and maintain the cleanliness of the bus.
Requirements
Your profile
You are safety focused
You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license, Preference will be given to B class drivers.
You are 21 years of age or over
You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
You can obtain a clean criminal record search
You have a sound knowledge of the Nipissing District and surrounding areas
You have the ability to work independently
You have the ability to work split shifts that reflect transportation requirements for school age children
You possess solid communication skills
Great customer service and communication skills in order to interact with passengers, parents, school employees, co-workers and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
You meet the required MTO medical standards required to obtain or maintainer a B licence.

We offer a competitive hourly pay
- $21.30 when driving a big and mini yellow bus
- $19.90 when driving a mini van or performing other duties
We offer all in-class and on road training required in order to Pass a Ministry of Transportation Driver Examination or obtain a certificate of competence from a recognized authority by passing a vision screening, knowledge test and a driving test in a bus of appropriate size is provided.
We offer a Professional Driver Improvement Course approved by the Ministry of Transportation.
We provide First Aid, CPR & Epipen training
