Location: Onsite role in St. Paul, MN
Pay Range: $75,000 - 85,000/USD annually
Job Summary
The Sign Installation Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of retail sign installation programs across large retail clients. This role serves as an operational liaison between the customer, internal production teams, and nationwide installation partners to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with brand standards.
The Sign Installation Manager owns execution, ensuring all commitments are delivered efficiently and accurately while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Do...
• Manage end-to-end execution of retail signage installation programs across client locations nationwide.
• Coordinate installation schedules with store operations, construction teams, landlords, permitting authorities, and installation vendors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, installation trackers, status reports, and customer communications.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for installation-related issues, escalations, and schedule changes.
• Coordinate site surveys, permit requirements, equipment rentals, and installation logistics.
• Work closely with manufacturing and logistics teams to ensure signage is produced, shipped, and delivered according to installation schedules.
• Manage a nationwide network of installation partners, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and brand standards.
• Track project costs, labor utilization, change orders, and invoice reconciliation.
• Conduct post-installation reviews and lead corrective action efforts when issues arise.
• Maintain installation documentation, site photos, completion reports, punch lists, and customer approvals.
• Support new store openings, remodels, rebranding initiatives, and sign maintenance programs.
• Provide weekly and monthly program performance reporting to internal leadership and client stakeholders.
Requirements
What You'll Bring...
• 5+ years of project management, installation management, construction management, or related experience.
• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects across various geographic locations.
• Knowledge of retail signage, environmental graphics, construction, or facility programs.
• Experience supporting national retail brands or multi-location rollouts.
• Knowledge of sign permitting processes and municipal requirements.
• Familiarity with ERP, MIS, or production management systems.
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and field service providers.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and project management software.
• Ability to travel as required for customer meetings, site visits, and installation oversight.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work after hours on-call support as needed.
