Manager - NetSuite and Business Analytics

The Manager of ERP/NetSuite and Business Analytics will be the primary in-house owner of NetSuite and related business systems, responsible for ERP administration, architecture, workflows, master data, integrations, reporting, and continuous process improvement. The role is approximately 70-75% focused on ERP/NetSuite ownership and 25-30% on business analysis, management reporting, and data intelligence.
This is a senior, high-ownership individual contributor role. The person will work closely with finance, sales, operations, delivery, technology, and leadership teams, independently translating business requirements into scalable ERP solutions and reliable management information. The role will also coordinate with the external NetSuite System Integration (SI) partner for larger builds, escalations, and specialized development.
The core responsibilities for the job include the following:
ERP / NetSuite Ownership, Architecture, and Administration (40-45%):
Own the NetSuite instance end-to-end as the primary in-house ERP owner across departments and entities.
Design and continuously improve NetSuite architecture, business processes, workflows, and system configurations.
Translate business requirements into scalable NetSuite solutions independently, with minimal supervision.
Build and maintain architecture flow diagrams, process flows, SOPs, and system documentation.
Manage users, roles, permissions, access controls, and security across departments and entities.
Troubleshoot day-to-day issues raised by Sales, Finance, Operations, and other functions; resolve or appropriately triage tickets.
Build and maintain saved searches, reports, dashboards, custom forms, and SuiteFlow workflows.
Support NetSuite release updates, including feature review, sandbox testing, and controlled rollout.
Monitor system performance, data integrity, and adherence to internal controls.
Support month-end and quarter-end processes from a systems perspective.
NetSuite Integrations, Master Data, and Data Governance (20-25%):
Own and govern master data within NetSuite, including customers, vendors, items, chart of accounts, and entities.
Ensure NetSuite remains a consistent and reliable source of truth across connected systems.
Design, manage, and monitor integrations between NetSuite and other business/master-data platforms, including ExpoSync, Power BI, RFID tools, and future platforms.
Map end-to-end data flows and identify where data breaks, duplicates, gets lost, or requires manual intervention.
Work with business and technology teams to improve data capture at source and strengthen integrations.
Drive continuous improvement of ERP architecture and workflows as the business grows.
Support SuiteScript 2.0 customizations, scripts, custom fields/records, and workflows as required, directly or through the SI partner.
Coordinate with the external NetSuite SI partner on change requests, solution design, escalations, advanced customizations, and larger projects.
Business Analytics, Reporting, and Management Insights (20-25%):
Build and maintain management dashboards and reports using Power BI or comparable BI platforms, primarily leveraging NetSuite and integrated-system data.
Develop robust data models, relationships, hierarchies, and DAX measures to support accurate management reporting.
Write and run SQL queries and use Power Query, Python, R, or VBA where relevant to extract, clean, join, and transform data.
Automate recurring reporting packs for leadership and department heads, reducing manual reporting effort.
Establish data definitions, validation checks, and a single source of truth for key business metrics.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between ERP, BI, and other business systems.
Provide analysis on sales, finance, operations, delivery, productivity, workload, and other key business drivers.
Translate management questions into structured analysis, recommendations, and actionable insights.
Support business cases, scenario analysis, pricing decisions, and process-improvement initiatives where required.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management - 5-10%:
Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, ERP/technology teams, BI teams, and external partners.
Work closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, Delivery, and leadership to understand requirements and improve processes.
Explain ERP, data, and reporting issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Drive projects independently from requirement gathering through design, testing, implementation, and stabilization.
Influence stakeholders without direct authority and maintain strong ownership of outcomes.

NetSuite operates as a stable, well-governed, and scalable ERP platform with a clear in-house owner.
Core ERP workflows, master data, and system processes are documented and consistently followed.
NetSuite and connected systems maintain reliable and consistent data with fewer manual handoffs.
Leadership and department heads have trusted, automated dashboards and management reporting.
Budget-versus-actual and operational reporting is timely, accurate, and explained through business drivers.
Manual reporting and repetitive ERP processes are materially reduced through automation.
ERP enhancements and integrations are delivered with clear requirements, testing, and controlled implementation.
Business questions from leadership are answered with timely, data-backed analysis.
Requirements:
8+ years of hands-on ERP / NetSuite experience, with genuine ownership of an ERP environment rather than purely functional or consulting exposure.
Strong hands-on NetSuite administration and architecture experience.
Demonstrated ability to independently design NetSuite workflows, business process flows, and scalable solutions.
Strong working knowledge of SuiteFlow and SuiteScript 2.0
Experience with multi-entity/multi-subsidiary NetSuite environments; India, US, and Mexico exposure is strongly preferred.
Proven experience in master data management, data governance, standardization, and deduplication.
Experience architecting and managing integrations between NetSuite and third-party/master-data platforms.
Strong understanding of sales/CRM, order management, finance/accounting, and inventory processes.
Experience with roles, permissions, security, and access management.
Strong Power BI, SQL, and data analysis capabilities.
Ability to understand ERP data structures and convert transactional data into management insights.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to work independently as the primary in-house ERP owner while coordinating effectively with an external SI partner.
Preferred/Nice to have:
NetSuite Suite Foundation certification at minimum; NetSuite Administrator certification strongly preferred.
Exposure to NetSuite Analytics / SuiteAnalytics Workbook.
Experience with Power BI DAX and advanced Power Query.
Experience in a project-based business.
Exposure to enterprise data governance or MDM tools/frameworks.
Experience defining ERP architecture roadmaps.
Experience managing a NetSuite implementation partner relationship.
Experience supporting US-based teams or working across US time zone overlap.
