Summary:
The IS Technical Specialist provides technical and consultative support on the most complex technical matters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the development of technical content, training programs, and outreach initiatives.
Coach engineers and teams on modern engineering practices.
Drive engineer community engagement, events, and advocacy programs.
Partner with product teams to influence roadmap and prioritization of engineer needs based upon engineer feedback.
Assess and evolve engineer education, content, and outreach strategies.
Lead AI enablement through technical content, coaching, demonstrations, and community programs that promote responsible adoption of approved AI capabilities.
Translate engineering feedback and adoption barriers into recommendations that improve AI tools, practices, learning experiences, and product roadmaps.
Lead workshops, webinars, and internal learning experiences.
Contribute to open-source communities and projects.
Serve as a subject matter expert for engineering advocacy practices.
Collaborate with and build strong partnerships with internal teams (e.g., VMO, TIG, IT Talent Development, etc.) to scale engineering impact.
Serve as a subject matter expert on Technology Advocacy practices.
Mentor and serve as a resource for junior engineers, interns and Technology advocates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of related experience or an additional 4 years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Office experience
Experience working in multi-platform environment
Ability to balance both development and support roles
Experience in working on projects that involve business segments
Strong analytical, strong troubleshooting skills and excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, focus on customer service, and the ability to work well with other IT, vendor, and business groups
