Certification Liaison

This position is a generalist with experience in the field of accessible transportation. The position requires someone who has experience working with people with disabilities, knowledge of different disabilities, possesses administrative and organizational skills, and an ability to work both with a team and independently. The Certification Liaison will work directly with NJ TRANSIT’s Certification Team and will perform support tasks as necessary. These tasks include but are not limited to: Providing customers with information about NJ TRANSIT’s Accessible Services information, booking trips, conducting Transportation Assessments interviews, making on-site assessments of customer paths of travel and other related field observations, researching and following up on information collected during Transportation Assessments interviews, assisting with reviewing completed Transportation Assessments, participation in the Certification Committee and providing direct liaison/oversight of the community-based agencies working for NJ TRANSIT as assessment agencies. The Certification Liaison will report directly to the Service Provider General Manager for administrative purposes. The Certification Liaison will not fill any operations position on the Service Provider’s staff. The Certification Liaison will be working primarily in the field.
