Senior Tax Analyst - Income Tax

The Company has established a Latin American Tax and Statutory Accounting Center of Excellence (COE) based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We are expanding the COE to include a role focused on Global Tax Reporting (Accounting for income taxes) and U.S. income tax compliance. The role will work closely with and support the US global tax reporting team and provides a unique opportunity to learn the global tax consolidation process, support management functions, and team with global colleagues. The role will also assist in supporting U.S. tax return processes.
What You Will Do:
Support quarterly tax accounting and reporting processes; collaborate with U.S. Global Tax Reporting team, which oversees the process and deliverables.
Review monthly and quarterly financial data including income forecasts, balance sheets, income statements. Work with teams around the world to understand tax results and communicate key findings.
Assist with the monthly tax cash flow process, by tracking global income tax payments and comparing actual results to forecast, and updating forecasts for future periods as needed.
Execute monthly tax payments in Onbase (or similar platforms), ensuring accurate accounting classification and coding. Monitor U.S. state/local tax jurisdiction account balances for accuracy.
Prepare and maintain monthly U.S. tax account reconciliations, including journal entries, review of account activity, and documentation supporting account balances.
Learn and support the quarterly accounting process for uncertain tax positions. Track global audit activity, calculate interest, prepare journal entries, and maintain supporting documentation.
Work closely with local country finance teams and Center of Excellence (COE) team members to support global tax accounting processes and reviews.
Assist with a variety of tax accounting projects, such as special tax items, tax adjustments, management presentations, and routine data maintenance.
Help track global income tax return filings and timely comparison of tax returns against financial reporting results.
Organize data pulled for U.S. tax return preparation. Identify opportunities to improve and standardize processes.
Report to COE Tax Senior Manager (Buenos Aires) with a dotted line to the Global Tax Reporting Team (US).
Minimum Qualifications
Analyst-level role with 4+ years of experience in relevant role
Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles, processes, and terminology
Analytical skills for providing insights and recommendations
Verbal and written communications and experience interacting with multiple stakeholders.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes in a dynamic business environment.
Proficient in SAP or similar ERP experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Enthusiasm to learn about tax accounting and be a collaborative teammate
English Fluency
