Press Operator

Responsibilities
Accountable for continuing a job in press according to schedule.
Follow QDC procedure steps as per PRO61-10 and PRO62-10.
Conduct regular checks to be performed while press is running.
Responsible for completion of daily production sheet and other paperwork as required in a timely manner.
Keep checking\changing heat code & date stamp as required.
Responsible for pulling a die/stamp when job is complete or as required.
Always ensure bins are accurately tagged.
Do regular safety checks on presses.
Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts.
Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent work experience.
Must show some mechanical aptitude.
Ability to load coil from coil car to feeder.
Ability to start new coil through die.
Ability to participate in all aspects of quick die change.
Ability to use SmartPac and Spectrum Systems.
Ability to remove old coil/strip from die.
Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural and fast paced environment
This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be:
$20.50 - $30.59
