Principal Backend Engineer (Python) at BairesDev
in this role, you'll shape the backend architecture behind products serving millions of collectors worldwide. This is a hands-on leadership position where your architectural decisions directly determine how well the platform scales as the business grows. This is your opportunity to own complete features from design through deployment, working closely with product and design partners.
What You'll Do:
- Design and build backend architecture on AWS serverless infrastructure.
- Own complete features end to end, from design through deployment.
- Design microservices and event-driven systems that scale with demand.
- Define infrastructure as code practices to support consistent, repeatable deployments.
- Design APIs consumed by web and mobile applications.
- Partner with product and design teams to shape the technical roadmap.
What we are looking for:
- 10+ years of experience in backend engineering, with strong proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway).
- Background in PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Proficiency in microservices and event-driven architecture.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
- Advanced proficiency in English.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
- Background building consumer-facing products at scale.
