Role Overview
As the Global Design Director (100% remote within the United States), you will lead our cross-functional, distributed design organization across North America and global delivery centers. You will be responsible for defining the overarching user experience (UX) strategy, visual identity (UI), and service design frameworks for our entire suite of enterprise products. This executive-facing role requires a seasoned leader who can seamlessly translate complex industrial workflows and heavy enterprise application requirements into intuitive, elegant, and modern digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design Strategy & Vision: Establish and spearhead Vensai's global product design vision, creating scalable design languages and unified system components across web, mobile, and specialized industrial software.
Team Leadership & Scaling: Manage, inspire, and grow a diverse, high-performing team of remote UX/UI designers, user researchers, and interaction specialists globally.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product management, engineering heads (Java, Cloud, IoT), and key enterprise stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of user-centered design paradigms throughout the agile product lifecycles.
Enterprise & CIM Product Evolution: Demystify highly dense, quantitative technical workflows (such as CAD/BIM data flows, data visualization lakes, and enterprise dashboards) into user-friendly layouts that optimize task efficiency and user adoption.
Research & Testing Governance: Oversee continuous user testing, cognitive walkthroughs, and telemetry analysis to iterate on live products and reduce friction across core enterprise touchpoints.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 8+ years of dedicated experience in digital product design, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership or directorial role overseeing distributed global teams.
Portfolio Requirement: A comprehensive, world-class design portfolio demonstrating exceptional UX craftsmanship, complex enterprise application interfaces (B2B SaaS), or industrial design/data-rich systems.
Technical & Process Depth: Proficient mastery of leading design ecosystems (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Design Systems, tokens) and deep understanding of modern cloud front-end capabilities. Experience with data visualization or 3D/CAD workflows is a strong plus.
Remote Leadership Skill: Proven ability to drive deep collaboration, maintain design alignment, and manage stakeholders purely in an agile, remote-first global delivery model.
