Lam Research is a leading global manufacturer of capital equipment used in making leading-edge-semiconductors across the world. We primarily compete in four specific areas – deposition, etch, photoresist strip, and single wafer clean. Lam Research India team is organized into three major areas of responsibility: Hardware, Software, and Operations. We have an open position in the Hardware group. The Hardware group, designs subassemblies and subsystems for Lam’s product lines, providing innovation for the next-generation products, providing improvements in cost and reliability. In Hardware group, mechanical engineers, simulation analysts, electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and supplier quality engineers contribute to designing and improving Lam’s products.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
Years of Experience: <6 years of relevant experience in cables, interconnects and harnesses
Primary Responsibilities
Creation of electrical schematics and system interconnects based on requirements received from cross-disciplinary teams
Own the Cable Designs, drafting of cables, creation of harness drawings
Own the harnesses created for power panels/power boxes
Create and release engineering drawings & bill of materials using Engineering Change Management process
Interact with PG counterparts in US
Setting up tool automation options
Supporting field/build issue resolution
Understanding the system level interconnections and special requirements
Mandatory Skills Required To Perform The Job
Creation of electrical schematic diagram, control panel facility connections & field disconnects
Thorough knowledge of E3 Zuken, Formboard Flattening (835).
Cable Design, Harness creation, Components selection – connectors, ring lugs, cable shielding etc.
Harness creation process and interaction with Mechanical Engineers during 3D routing
Creation of full harness documentation artifacts
Understanding of troubleshooting with problem-solving techniques such as 5-why, 8D, fishbones, etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical presentations.
Experience in working with cross-disciplinary teams (including mechanical, electro-mechanical, software, process, manufacturing engineers) for major projects with multi-national work environment.
Familiarity with cable & harness manufacturing/wiring harness would be a value addition
Experience in selection of components, setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices.
Knowledge in Engineering Change Management Process
Familiarity with cable routing will be a value addition
Semiconductor domain knowledge would be a value addition

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
