Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Mobile Automation Engineer to join our team as an Individual Contributor. This role is entirely focused on building a QA automation framework. Your primary mandate will be to set up and build robust, scalable automated testing frameworks across our entire product suite: React & Angular web platforms, mobile applications, React Native kiosk systems, and backend REST APIs. You will also actively leverage AI—specifically Claude—to accelerate framework development and translate product functional requirements into comprehensive automated tests.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks covering Web, Mobile, Kiosk, and API layers; choose the right tools and establish foundational coding standards for automation
Utilize Claude to architect testing framework components and generate functional test scripts directly from product requirements and user stories
Construct automated testing solutions for complex frontend applications built on React and Angular, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and UI reliability
Set up and implement automation frameworks for native and hybrid mobile applications across iOS and Android
Build specialized automated testing solutions for React Native Kiosk applications, handling hardware interactions, touch-interface edge cases, and continuous runtime environments
Design and code automated API test suites to validate data integrity, endpoints, and backend business logic
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure checks run on every build and deployment
Required Skills & Qualifications
3–5 years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance, with a track record building and scaling automation frameworks from the ground up
Hands-on experience utilizing Claude (or similar LLMs) to streamline test framework creation and map requirements to automated tests
Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript
Deep experience with web automation tools (Cypress, Playwright, or WebdriverIO) for modern SPAs
Expertise with mobile testing frameworks (Appium, Detox, XCUITest, Espresso)
Direct experience building testing frameworks for React Native; prior experience testing hardware software, POS systems, or kiosk applications highly desirable
Experience building API testing frameworks (Postman, REST Assured, SuperTest, or custom scripts)
Strong experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
Nice to Have
Experience with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, k6)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud device farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm)
Experience testing accessibility (a11y) standards on web and mobile
