Role Description The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead electrical design and development for hardware and IoT products, ensuring robust, safe, and efficient systems for commercial and industrial applications. This full-time, on-site role in Coimbatore involves designing and reviewing schematics, power distribution architectures, and power systems, as well as collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in firmware, mechanical design, and manufacturing. The engineer will oversee prototype development, perform validation and testing, and drive design optimization for reliability, cost, and manufacturability. Responsibilities include preparing technical documentation, supporting PCB design teams, guiding junior engineers, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with the ability to apply core principles to complex product development.
Proficiency in Electrical Design, including schematic creation, component selection, and integration with embedded and IoT systems.
Experience in Power Distribution and Power Systems design, analysis, and safety compliance for industrial and commercial applications.
Ability to collaborate with PCB, firmware, and mechanical teams to deliver integrated hardware solutions.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Experience with design tools such as CAD/EDA software (e.g., Altium, KiCad, or equivalent) and familiarity with relevant electrical standards.
Demonstrated experience in taking products from concept through prototyping to production, preferably in hardware/IoT environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and work effectively on-site.
