Technical Lead

Role Description As a Technical Lead at OCTAVOLAB, you will guide an engineering team in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for making key architectural decisions, reviewing code, mentoring developers, and ensuring that projects follow best practices in performance, security, and maintainability. The role involves close collaboration with product managers and stakeholders to refine requirements, plan sprints, and manage technical risks. You will also help establish and improve development processes, tooling, and documentation to support efficient and reliable releases. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Hyderabad Area.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, including mentoring, code review, and architectural decision-making.
Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language and familiarity with software design patterns and scalable architectures.
Hands-on experience with web or backend services, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Knowledge of secure coding practices, performance optimization, and monitoring/observability tools.
Experience with Agile or similar development methodologies, including sprint planning and backlog management.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work on-site in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience as a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead in a product or startup environment is highly beneficial.
