Senior Associate - SMB Insurance

Promote new insurance distribution offerings to serve millions of consumer, business and wealth customers across the firm.
As a Product Manager in Business Banking Insurance, you will help launch a brand new product vertical, offering small business insurance to our 7M+ small business clients. You will be an early team member of the General Management team for Small Business Insurance where you’ll partner across product, technology, data, design, and Legal, Risk, Compliance & Controls (LRCC) partners to shape strategy, drive execution, stand up capabilities from the ground up, and help ensure the commercial success of the new product.
Job responsibilities
Support the evolution of the small business Property & Casualty Insurance agency strategy, translating team objectives into structured workstreams and clear deliverables.
Structure ambiguous problems, build analyses, and turn data-driven insights into actionable recommendations that inform decisions across growth, profitability, and customer experience.
Build and maintain the team’s core performance dashboards and reporting – tracking key business metrics, funnel performance, and unit economics – and surface trends, risks, and opportunities.
Partner closely with product, technology, data, design, and LRCC (Legal, Risk, Compliance & Controls) partners to shape requirements, launch new capabilities, and iterate quickly.
Support risk management and controls activities, helping maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards as the business scales.
Champion the voice of the customer – synthesize research and client feedback and translate it into concrete proposals for product and experience improvements.
Prepare executive-ready materials, business reviews, and cross-functional communications that clearly frame trade-offs and drive alignment.
Flex across a broad set of responsibilities as team priorities evolve, pitching in wherever necessary to help stand up and scale the business.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
3+ years of experience in product management, strategy, consulting, banking, or a similarly analytical role, ideally within financial services, insurance, or digital platforms.
Highly analytical, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, build quantitative analyses, and draw sharp insights from data (proficiency with Excel required).
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across product, technology, data, design, and control partners (Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Controls).
Comfort operating in ambiguity and change – able to prioritize, self-direct, and drive work forward with limited guidance in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex material into clear narratives for senior audiences.
Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment while building and maintaining strong relationships with business partners.
Versatile personality type with high resiliency, a commitment to success, a bias for action, and a willingness to pitch in wherever necessary to get the job done.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
MBA or related graduate degree a plus, but not required
Experience launching a new product, business, or capability from 0 to 1, particularly in a regulated environment
Proficiency with SQL, Tableau, or similar tools
