Job Summary:
Leads the integration and execution of complex Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and processes across multiple large-scale projects to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence. Demonstrates advanced proficiency and comprehensive understanding of MEP systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, low voltage, and automation, from design development through the full project lifecycle. Reviews and leads the resolution of technical MEP challenges with a high impact on operations and projects. Shapes project outcomes by establishing both standard and novel guidelines, driving process innovation, and ensuring compliance with organizational and industry benchmarks. Contributes to organizational growth by mentoring MEP coordination teams, streamlining project workflows, and fostering a culture of technical excellence across MEP disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads the coordination and integration of MEP systems across multiple or complex projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and technical requirements.
Guides multidisciplinary teams in resolving advanced technical issues, leveraging expertise to drive innovative and effective solutions.
Establishes and enforces MEP coordination standards, processes, and quality benchmarks to ensure consistency and excellence across projects.
Leads risk assessment and mitigation strategies for MEP systems, proactively addressing potential conflicts and ensuring project continuity.
Facilitates high-level coordination meetings, communicates critical updates, and aligns diverse stakeholder groups to maintain project momentum.
Mentors the MEP team and project teams by sharing expertise, resources, and guidance on complex MEP requirements, installation schedules, and architectural and structural drawings.
Creates awareness around MEP and the specific safety issues, sharing lessons learned, and process improvements with teams and trade partners.
Education Qualifications:
Evaluates emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement improvements in MEP coordination practices.
Work Experience:
6 - 8 years of experience in MEP coordination, building systems design, construction project management, or a related field required.
