The Global FX and Cross-Border Solutions team is charged with leading the strategy, design, build, and commercialization of best-in-class flexible enterprise-wide FX and Cross-Border solutions as we seek to meet the growing and increasingly diversified needs of clients moving funds around the world.
What’s it all about?
As Senior Multi-Currency Cards Product Manager, Global FX & Cross-Border Issuer Solutions, you will be responsible for defining and executing the roadmap for Visa's multi-currency card capabilities, driving product strategy from concept through execution while partnering closely with technology, operations, regional teams and clients.
The successful candidate will combine a deep understanding of multi-currency wallets, cardholder needs and Visa capabilities to develop innovative solutions that help issuers around the world deliver differentiated multi-currency card propositions. Working at the intersection of product strategy, payments, FX and technology, you will translate market opportunities and business objectives into scalable product solutions through detailed requirements, transaction flows, prototypes and technical designs.
The role requires strong product thinking and commercial acumen, with the ability to evaluate and prioritise product investments by balancing client needs, cardholder expectations, technical feasibility and strategic objectives. Success in this role requires understanding how consumers increasingly want to hold, manage and spend across multiple currencies, and translating those needs into capabilities that create value for issuers and cardholders alike.
This is an opportunity to influence products used by issuers across Visa's global network, helping shape the next generation of multi-currency card experiences and enabling issuers to deliver greater flexibility, transparency and control to globally connected consumers.
All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Gen AI tools (e.g. Replit, Copilot, Figma AI, Claude Code etc) to enable everyday work.
What we expect of you, day to day.
Product Design & Solution Architecture
Own the definition and development of customer-centric product and technical requirements for multi-currency card solutions, using AI-powered tools to accelerate product discovery, prototyping, validation and design.
Develop a deep understanding of the end-to-end multi-currency solution architecture, including the interaction between systems.
Translate cardholder journeys, issuer needs, market opportunities and business objectives into prioritised functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, workflow models, prototypes and scalable solution designs.
Map end-to-end transaction flows across authorisation, clearing and settlement.
Develop system context diagrams, sequence diagrams, data flows, interface specifications and system interaction models that clearly define component responsibilities, system dependencies and integration requirements.
Partner closely with Technology, Processing and Architecture teams to evaluate solution options, understand existing system capabilities and constraints, and assess technical feasibility, scalability, resilience, security and implementation complexity.
Engage confidently in detailed technical discussions, challenging assumptions and helping teams make informed architectural decisions and trade-offs across customer experience, issuer integration, platform capability, delivery effort and future scalability.
Define integration requirements for issuer processors and multi-currency platforms, including APIs, payment messages, data exchanges, event flows, configuration requirements and operational processes.
Identify architecture gaps, upstream and downstream dependencies, data requirements, edge cases and failure scenarios early in the product development lifecycle.
Ensure product and technical designs address operational considerations, including monitoring, reconciliation, dispute and exception management, controls, reporting, support models and production readiness.
Lead technical discovery workshops, client design sessions, architecture reviews and solution walkthroughs with issuers, processors, technology partners and internal stakeholders.
Maintain clear traceability from cardholder and issuer needs through product requirements, technical design, development and testing, ensuring the delivered solution achieves the intended customer and commercial outcomes.
Use AI-enabled product and development tools to accelerate requirements analysis, prototype creation, technical documentation and solution validation, while applying appropriate review, governance and judgement.
Product Strategy & Portfolio Prioritisation
Define the future vision for Visa's multi-currency issuer capabilities and identify opportunities to address emerging cardholder and issuer needs.
Partner directly with issuers, fintechs and regional teams to understand evolving multi-currency propositions, customer expectations and competitive dynamics.
Identify strategic opportunities through client engagement, market research, competitive analysis and industry developments.
Evaluate product initiatives and investment opportunities based on client value, commercial potential, technical feasibility, implementation complexity, scalability and strategic alignment.
Develop business cases, market assessments and value frameworks to support investment and prioritisation decisions.
Partner with regional, commercial and product teams to gather market insights and validate investment opportunities.
Assess build, buy and partner opportunities to address product capability gaps, recommending the optimal approach based on strategic, commercial and technical considerations, and supporting partnership commercials, contracting and execution.
Recommend product roadmap priorities, sequencing and investment allocation based on expected business impact, resource constraints and strategic objectives.
Support annual planning, portfolio reviews and investment discussions with senior leadership.
Monitor product performance, adoption and commercial outcomes, using Gen AI and data-driven insights to refine strategy and prioritise future investments.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including issuer processing, FX mechanics, multicurrency solutions and cross-border transaction flows.
Demonstrated experience working with payment processing platforms and technologies, including VIP, BASE II, authorisation, clearing, settlement and transaction lifecycle management.
