Job Summary
The Director of Educational Outreach, under general direction, directs the educational outreach programs by providing leadership and. developing, supporting, and evaluating programs, services, and personnel to ensure alignment with departmental and institutional missions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Initiates and implements program marketing strategies and recommendations.
Oversees budgetary design and fiscal operations. Manages administration functions..
Serves as workshop presenter or institutional representative at professional conferences, educational outreach meetings, educational institutions, and community activities and events.
Collaborates in development and management to support outreach, community, and youth programs.
Interfaces with educational community through collaboration and promotion of programs with key administrators, community leaders, community organizations, and professional teaching programs.
Initiates growth and development strategies by cultivating and expanding existing education/community relationships and development opportunities through grants and solicitation of funding from private, government, foundation, and civic sources.
Collaborates with applicable departments in support of undergraduate student recruiting initiatives.
Promotes and enhances relationships with faculty, graduate students, and external educators to ensure quality of programming.

Minimum Requirements
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, Communication, or Public Administration.
Experience – Ten years of related experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience
Master’s degree in related field (Business, Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, Communication, or Public Administration).
Experience in K-12 and/or higher education.
Experience working with grants.
Experience in working with students, staff, and administrators in K-12
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
Ability to:
Multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong public speaking, organizational, leadership, and supervisory skills.
Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
Preferred Knowledge and Abilities
Must possess strong interpersonal and networking skills to interact and work collaboratively and professionally with internal and external constituents.
Must possess strong time-management skills and multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Work independently and with initiative.
Communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
Experience in working with grants.
License/Professional Certification - None
