Your Role: Own the Challenge
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) for the Spare Parts team plays a critical role in supporting customers, service partners, and internal stakeholders within ABB’s Mining and Material division. This position ensures timely and accurate processing of spare parts inquiries, quotations, and orders while delivering a high standard of customer experience aligned with ABB’s service values. The CSR acts as a key liaison between customers, logistics, supply chain, and the automation service team to maintain smooth operations and strong customer relationships.

This role is contributing to the Automation Process Industries division in Merida, Yucatan.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking spare parts for automation products (e.g., drives, motors, PLCs, robotics components, safety systems, etc.).
Provide product identification support, troubleshoot part-related inquiries, and guide customers through options when components are obsolete or superseded.
Prepare, issue, and follow up on quotations for spare parts, repairs, and replacement components. Process purchase orders accurately in ABB’s ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce).
Track order status, lead times, logistics updates, and delivery milestones; proactively communicate changes or delays.
Ensure pricing accuracy and adherence to ABB commercial policies.
Engage with approved third‑party suppliers to request quotations and gather pricing, availability, and lead‑time information to support customer inquiries and order processing.
Validate part numbers, availability, and compatibility using ABB databases, technical documentation, and engineering references.
Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Procurement teams to manage stock levels, backorders, and alternative sourcing. Coordinate with warehouses and logistics teams to ensure correct and timely shipment of parts.

Qualifications for the role
2–4 years of customer service or order management experience in a technical or industrial environment.
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) with a customer-first mindset.
Proficiency with ERP and CRM systems (SAP experience preferred).
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Ability to interpret technical documents such as part lists, drawings, and product catalogs.
Bachelor's degree
Preferably: Experience supporting automation, electrical, or industrial equipment. Familiarity with ABB products (drives, motors, PLCs, robotics, safety systems). Background in supply chain, logistics, or inventory coordination. Post-secondary education in business, engineering technology, or a related field.
