Every enterprise function (sales, customer support, HR, finance) is deploying AI agents at scale, and budgets are following fast. But most companies can't answer a basic question: is this spend actually working? The signal that could answer it is already there, in the millions of conversations happening every day between employees, customers, and these agents. It's unstructured, high-volume, and invisible without the right infrastructure.
Nebuly makes that signal visible. It sits on top of any enterprise AI deployment, turns those conversations into a clear answer on whether AI is working and where, and connects the dots back to ROI. THE ROLE
Many of our enterprise customers run Nebuly inside their own cloud environment, so that no data ever leaves their perimeter. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you are the person who makes that happen. You own the technical relationship with our customers' infrastructure teams: you get Nebuly deployed in their environment, you keep it healthy, and you make sure every customer stays on the latest version of the product.
You sit at the boundary between our engineering team and our customers. You bring customer reality back into the product, and you bring the product into customer environments that are all a little different from one another.
EXAMPLES OF YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the deployment of Nebuly in customer environments on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, from kickoff to production go-live.
- Write, adapt, and maintain the Terraform modules used to provision customer infrastructure, working within each customer's constraints on networking, identity, and security.
- Deploy and operate Nebuly on Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, GKE, and on-prem distributions), using Helm and our release tooling.
- Own the upgrade lifecycle for each customer: plan and run version upgrades, coordinate maintenance windows with customer teams, and follow up until every customer runs the latest release.
- Troubleshoot issues in environments you don't fully control, together with customer DevOps, platform, and security teams.
- Support customers through security and architecture reviews by explaining how Nebuly is deployed and how data flows inside their perimeter.
- Turn recurring problems into product improvements: feed back into our Terraform modules, Helm charts, docs, and runbooks so the next deployment is faster than the last.
- Work closely with our engineering, product, and customer success teams to prioritise what customers need.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, platform, infrastructure, or cloud engineering roles.
- Strong, hands-on Terraform experience. You write and structure modules, manage state across environments, and are comfortable reading and adapting someone else's code.
- Strong, hands-on Kubernetes experience. You deploy and debug workloads in production, and you're fluent with Helm, networking, ingress, storage, RBAC, and upgrades.
- Solid experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and willingness to work across all three.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPCs/VNets, private endpoints, DNS, TLS) and security best practices in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack.
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation and tooling. Professional experience in Python or Go is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
- Excellent communication skills in English: you can explain a technical problem clearly to a customer's platform team, and run a call with them on your own.
- A customer-facing mindset: you enjoy owning problems end to end, you follow up, and you don't consider a job done until the customer is live and up to date.
NICE TO HAVE
- Previous experience in a customer-facing technical role (Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or similar).
- Experience deploying software in regulated or security-conscious enterprises (banking, telco, manufacturing).
- Knowledge of ClickHouse or PostgreSQL operations.
- Italian language skills.

Competitive pay + equity. We offer a salary in the range of €50,000 to 72,000 gross per year, depending on the outcome of the technical interview, plus meaningful stock options in a fast-scaling company.
