Role Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to bring technical excellence and leadership to our innovative, collaborative team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the design, development, and optimization of complex mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring every solution meets the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability.
As a senior member of the engineering group, you’ll mentor emerging engineers, guide multidisciplinary teams, and drive high-impact projects from concept through execution. Your expertise will help shape strategic initiatives, influence design direction, and strengthen our mechanical engineering capabilities.
The successful candidate will contribute to technical studies including Preliminary Economic Assessments (PEA), Prefeasibility Studies (PFS), and Feasibility Studies (FS) and may act as or support a Qualified Person (QP) responsible for technical disclosure related to mechanical design and project infrastructure design under NI 43-101
This position is based in Vancouver and is best suited to a mechanical generalist — static equipment background preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
LeadershipServe as the Engineer of Record and discipline lead on designated projects.Lead the execution of projects and managing discipline project spend, deliverable quality and management of change.Track and report on the progress of projects to project management.Technical ExperienceFull cycle EPC experienceExperience in the creation and checking of material specifications for piping systemsExperience with design and specification of pressure equipment such as tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangersEnsure all deliverables comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Able to travel to job sites as required.CommunicationEffectively communicate within project teams and with clients in a remote working environment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, basic cross-functional knowledge.Prepare and present detailed reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholdersMentorshipMentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence at all levels.Build strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external partners

Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Experience: 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with demonstrated success in managing complex projects.Certifications: Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license required (registered in the province of British Columbia preferred).Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
