Cantonese-English Medical Interpreter – Remote

I-Call International is looking for experienced Cantonese-English medical interpreters to join our remote team. As a medical interpreter, you will facilitate clear and accurate communication between Conatonese-speaking patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that medical information is interpreted accurately and confidentially.
Key Responsibilities
Provide accurate, consecutive interpretation between Cantonese-speaking patients and healthcare professionals.
Interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, instructions, and other healthcare information.
Maintain strict confidentiality and follow professional interpreting standards.
Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and professionalism during every interaction.
Keep up to date with medical terminology and interpreting practices.
Accurately document interpretation services when required.
Requirements
Native or advanced Cantonese and fluent English.
Minimum 1 year of interpreting or translation experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Ability to remain accurate and professional under pressure.
Reliable attendance and availability for assigned shifts.
Technical Requirements
Stable internet connection with at least 15 Mbps download and upload speed.
PC with Intel Core i7 (6th generation or higher) and a minimum of 8 GB RAM.
USB wired noise-canceling headset (Logitech H390 or similar).
Ethernet/LAN connection with an Ethernet cable.
RTT/Latency: maximum 100 ms.
Jitter: under 10 ms.
Packet Loss: 0%.
1080p HD webcam.
