About The Role
We are looking for a hands-on HR professional to drive the people agenda for a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on contract labour management, workforce compliance, and factory HR operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the factory operates with the right workforce capacity, capability, and compliance standards by managing the end-to-end contract labour ecosystem while also supporting key HR business partnering activities for the site.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Labour Management & Compliance
Manage end-to-end contract labour operations, workforce deployment, and contractor relationships.
Partner with production and supply chain teams to ensure adequate manpower availability to meet manufacturing plans.
Govern contractor onboarding, documentation, and workforce readiness processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, contract labour regulations, and principal employer obligations.
Drive adherence to statutory requirements including contractor licenses, PF, ESIC, wages, overtime compliance, labour welfare requirements, and related documentation.
Maintain master rolls, statutory records, compliance trackers, audit documentation, and contractor governance mechanisms.
Manage contractor performance, compliance reviews, and corrective actions.
Support labour inspections, audits, and statutory assessments.
Drive contractor training compliance, including safety, quality, conduct, and mandatory organizational trainings.
Factory HR Business Partnering
Support workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes for factory employees.
Execute performance management, probation reviews, and people development processes.
Drive employee engagement, welfare initiatives, and employee listening mechanisms.
Support apprenticeship programs and related compliance requirements.
Partner with factory leadership to address people-related challenges and improve workforce effectiveness.
Maintain HR systems, workforce data, reporting, and people analytics to support decision making.
What We're Looking For
Must-Have Experience
Contract Labour Management
Hands-on experience managing manpower contractors and vendor partners.
Strong understanding of contractual workforce operations in manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or FMCG environments.
Demonstrated experience handling contractor onboarding, workforce administration, and deployment management.
Labour Law & Compliance Expertise
Strong practical knowledge of:
Contract Labour regulations
Labour compliance requirements
Working hour and overtime regulations
Contractor licensing requirements
Master rolls and statutory registers
Compliance documentation and audit readiness
Contractor onboarding and exit processes
Compliance validation and governance mechanisms
Preferred Profile
4–8 years of HR experience.
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or related discipline preferred.
Experience in factory HR, manufacturing HR, industrial relations, workforce administration, or contract labour management- preferably FMCG manufacturing environment
Ability to independently manage contractor relationships and workforce compliance matters.
Experience supporting both blue-collar and white-collar employee populations.
