Role Description The Toothpaste Formulation R&D Specialist will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and validating toothpaste formulations that meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. Working full time on-site in Gurugram, this role involves conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing test results, and documenting findings in a clear and structured manner. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as quality, production, and marketing to refine product attributes, support scale-up, and address technical challenges. Day-to-day tasks include ingredient evaluation, formulation stability studies, compliance checks with relevant regulations, and continuous improvement of existing product lines. The role also includes preparing technical reports, presenting results to stakeholders, and contributing to innovation pipelines based on market and consumer insights.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Research and Development (R&D) skills, including experience in product formulation and innovation within oral care or related consumer products.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, perform root-cause analysis, and use scientific methods to validate product performance.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear technical writing, documentation, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Candidates should possess robust Research capabilities, including literature review, benchmarking, and application of scientific findings to practical formulation challenges.
Candidates should possess hands-on Laboratory Skills, including safe handling of chemicals, use of lab equipment, and adherence to GLP or similar standards.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of oral care ingredients, regulatory requirements, and industry quality standards (e.g., BIS, FDA, or similar frameworks) is beneficial.
Ability to work systematically, manage multiple projects, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced R&D environment.
