Your role
MilliporeSigma is looking for a Cell Culture Engineer III to join the Single-Use & Integrated Systems R&D organization. You will design, execute, and report on projects and experiments for cell culture process development, and applications testing of technologies in development. You must also demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills for collaboration with both R&D groups and non-R&D groups (e.g. Marketing, MSAT, Business Development, Senior Management). Additionally, you will understand trends and developments in CHO/mAb cell culture processes and technologies across the biopharmaceutical industry. This full-time position will be based at our Bedford, MA campus.
Lead efforts to design, execute, analyze, and report on process development and optimization experiments in spin tubes, shake flasks, and single-use bioreactors from 3L-200L
Compile experimental results to give deep-dive technical presentations to R&D teams
Compile applications data into reports & presentations to deliver to non-R&D groups (e.g. Marketing, MSAT, Business Development, Senior Management)
Generate customer facing collateral to demonstrate the value of new technologies, including applications notes, webinars, performance/user guides, etc.
Monitor scientific literature publications to ensure process development strategies are in-line with industry standards, and identify emerging cell culture technologies for evaluation
Bring strong time management skills, balancing lab work and desk work
Demonstrate strong teamwork skills, helping team members when needed and asking for help/delegating tasks when appropriate
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
5+ years experience in biological process development, product development, or related life science professional role
OR
Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
3+ years experience in biological process development, product development, or related life science professional role
OR
PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience/expertise in perfusion cell culture (CHO/mAb): spin tube, shake flask, bench scale glass bioreactors (3L-20L), pilot scale single-use bioreactors (50L-200L)
Experience/expertise in cell retention technologies in perfusion culture
Pay Range for this position: $84,900-$127,300.
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
