Technology Engineer

We're looking for a Technology Engineer to join our Kier Operational Technology team.
Location: Nationwide - the role is primarily remote and you will be required to travel to multiple locations as necessary
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 37.5 hours per week You will be required to work nights as and when needed.
Salary: £37,500 - £42,500 per year + £5,000 annual car allowance + excellent benefits

Join our operational technology team as an Engineer, where you'll play a valued role in the installation and commissioning of highways technology equipment on the National Highways Network. You'll work as part of our in-house installation and commissioning capability, predominantly on existing Maintenance and Response Contracts alongside diverse schemes across our portfolio. This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise, resolve engineering challenges, and contribute innovative solutions while working collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Technology Engineer, You'll Be Working Within The Kier Operational Technology Team, Supporting Them In Delivering Effective Technology Solutions Across The Highways Network. Your Day To Day Will Include
Installing, testing and commissioning highways technology equipment including CCTV, MIDAS, message signs and signals
Managing specific projects, understanding client expectations and applying appropriate methodologies to deliver innovative solutions
Carry out electronic diagnostic checks on highways communications assets for fault identification and resolution
Liaising with third party supply chain to coordinate tasks and information required for project delivery
Reviewing and preparing technical reports, drawings and specifications
Promoting health and safety in the workplace and ensuring all CDM regulation requirements are met
What are we looking for?
This role of Technology Engineer is great for you if:
You have experience in delivering highway technology projects and possess working knowledge of National Highways standards and procedures
You have a good understanding of highways technology assets including but not limited to CCTV, Detector Systems, Signs, Signals, and highways infrastructure
You're a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines
You have a strong understanding of electrical installations and related codes of practice, specifically BS 7671
You hold a Full driving licence as site visits will be required
