As an Over-The-Counter Derivatives Valuation Control Group Associate I within JPMorganChase, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our operational services related to fund accounting and administration. Your work will have a meaningful impact within our department, as you apply your broad knowledge of derivative products to assist with OTC derivative validation, as well as project related to new instrument development, analysis, and client on-boardings. This is a unique opportunity to work in a multi-asset environment with exposure to external institutional clients and internal partners.
The VCG group is organized into regional teams of derivative specialists based in Plano, Sydney, and Mumbai to provide derivatives valuation support to institutional clients, asset managers, hedge funds, and insurance companies who have outsourced part or all of their operations to J.P. Morgan Fund Services. The VCG team is the first line of support for the production/sourcing of OTC valuations for both internal and external clients.
Job responsibilities
Review and interpret OTC derivative valuations movements using product/industry knowledge and relevant market data.
Liaise with pricing vendors to resolve valuation issues and minimize risk.
Provide subject matter expertise to support external and internal clients and partners.
Escalate, prioritize, and multi-tasking skills required for a role that sits within a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the pricing control process by using AI to automate processes.
Process improvement , ad-hoc project work for analysis, and client/product onboarding.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree with preference in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
1+ years asset pricing, valuations, or fund servicing/accounting experience preferred.
Knowledge of industry events and financial markets.
Self-motivated and proactive with a proven ability to learn new topics, systems, and instruments in a dynamic environment
Able to work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines.
Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills
Strong analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail along with numerical ability.
Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate within a team environment and interact. across departments and with other team members.
Customer focus, strong communication skills, and follow-up skills.
Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Developing experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes.
