Role Description This is a full-time, on-site NGO role based in Gorakhpur. The role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring community development projects in coordination with local partners and beneficiaries. Daily tasks include conducting field visits, organizing awareness campaigns, facilitating workshops, and maintaining detailed project documentation and reports. The individual will liaise with government bodies, local leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery and alignment with community needs. Additional responsibilities include tracking project outcomes, supporting fundraising or grant-related activities, and contributing to the continuous improvement of program strategies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong community engagement and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build trust with diverse groups.
Candidates should possess project coordination and organizational skills, including planning, scheduling, and basic monitoring and evaluation capabilities.
Candidates should possess communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication in English and local languages, and effective public speaking or facilitation abilities.
Candidates should possess basic data handling and reporting skills, including maintaining records, preparing summaries, and using common office productivity tools.
Relevant experience in social work, community development, public health, education, or related NGO activities is highly beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, public administration, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience may be considered.
Demonstrated commitment to social impact, ethical practices, and working respectfully with people from different backgrounds is essential.
Ability to work on-site in Gorakhpur, adapt to field conditions, and travel locally as required for project activities.
