About the Role
We are seeking a Facilities Manager to support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our growing network of veterinary practices. This role will manage facilities needs across a multi-market portfolio, partnering with practice teams, regional operations, vendors, landlords, and our third-party facilities management partner.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple locations, vendors, and priorities simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day facilities operations across an assigned portfolio of veterinary practices.
- Triage and manage facilities requests, escalations, and emergency repairs through resolution.
- Manage work orders, preventative maintenance, and facility information through our CMMS platform.
- Coordinate and manage third-party facilities partners, contractors, and local vendors.
- Review proposals, scopes, pricing, and invoices and track facilities spending against budget.
- Coordinate with landlords and property managers on building repairs and landlord responsibilities.
- Conduct site visits and facility assessments to identify maintenance, repair, and capital needs.
- Manage preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life-safety, and other building systems.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend repair, replacement, or capital solutions.
- Coordinate smaller capital projects, equipment replacements, and practice refreshes.
- Partner with Development and Operations on capital planning, larger projects, and facilities priorities.
- Maintain clear communication with practice teams regarding issue status, timing, and resolution.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of facilities management or related experience, preferably supporting a multi-site portfolio.
- Experience in veterinary, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or another multi-location environment preferred.
- Experience with CMMS/work-order systems, vendor management, and preventative maintenance.
- Working knowledge of commercial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire/life-safety systems.
- Experience managing facilities budgets, proposals, and small capital projects.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently prioritize a high volume of facilities needs across multiple locations.
Ability to travel regularly between practice locations.
