As our new DevOps Platform Engineer, your role will be crucial in propelling us to our target within a year. You will be responsible for standardizing our repositories, automating our AWS infrastructure, streamlining GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, and writing robust database scripts that power our rapid revenue growth. Responsibilities
Repository Consolidation & Release Engineering (~40%)
Migrate applications, private APIs, and staging branches into main.
Clean up stale PRs and maintain repository hygiene.
Restructure monorepo folder layouts.
Manage project release timelines, delegate initiatives, and mentor other engineers on best branch/release practices.
DevOps & Infrastructure Automation (~40%)
Mirror production environments in staging and manage product secrets securely across environments.
Automate new tenant database creation from templates and update data backup processes.
Design and execute AWS cloud infrastructure architectures and build robust GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
Database & API Engineering (~20%)
Write performant SQL database column migrations.
Build and maintain development-environment prompt scripts to streamline developer workflow.
Acceptance
Contribute to our Engineering wiki and create DevOps best practices for other engineers.
Conduct and participate in code and infrastructure reviews to maintain quality and security standards.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, deployment workflows, and database migration guidelines.
Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Proven expertise with GitHub Actions for automated CI/CD pipelines.
Strong SQL proficiency, including database column migrations and schema management.
Experience in TypeScript applications, REST/OData APIs, and monorepo structure management.
Background in computer science or engineering.
Proven track record of successful DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience in the software industry.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
Self-motivated and target-oriented, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of platform engineering processes.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, solutions engineers, and customer success.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
