Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Chennai. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and reconciliation of accounts. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role also involves monitoring cash flow, assisting with audits, preparing tax-related documentation, and generating periodic financial reports for internal stakeholders. The Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions and maintain accurate financial records.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and financial analysis tools.
Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and coordination with internal teams.
Relevant academic background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA or equivalent) are an advantage but not mandatory.
Prior experience in the financial services sector or corporate accounting is preferred.
