Job Duties & Responsibilities
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Assist customers with operating washers, dryers, payment systems, vending machines, and other equipment.
Keep the laundromat clean and presentable throughout the entire shift.
Clean and disinfect washers, including doors, drums, detergent compartments, and exterior surfaces.
Clean dryer lint screens and surrounding areas regularly.
Wipe down folding tables, chairs, counters, carts, doors, windows, and other customer areas.
Sweep and mop floors as needed throughout the shift.
Clean and maintain restrooms and restock supplies.
Empty trash cans and replace liners before they become full.
Keep entrances, sidewalks, and parking areas clean and free of trash when assigned.
Monitor washers and dryers for leaks, unusual noises, error codes, overheating, or other problems.
Immediately report equipment malfunctions, water leaks, electrical concerns, safety hazards, or property damage.
Place malfunctioning equipment out of service when directed and clearly identify it for customers.
Monitor the facility for unsafe conditions and correct or report them promptly.
Maintain an organized attendant/work area.
Refill vending products and laundry supplies when required.
Maintain appropriate inventory of detergent, bags, cleaning products, restroom supplies, and other consumables.
Notify management when inventory is running low.
Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally.
Follow company procedures regarding refunds and customer credits.
Monitor the facility to discourage vandalism, theft, misuse of equipment, and inappropriate behavior.
Report suspicious activity or serious incidents to management immediately.
Complete opening and closing procedures when assigned.
Secure doors, equipment, cash, keys, and company property according to company procedures.
Complete required daily cleaning and inspection checklists.
Perform additional duties reasonably related to the operation of the laundromat.
Wash-Dry-Fold Responsibilities
If the laundromat offers wash-dry-fold service, the attendant may also:
Receive and properly label customer laundry.
Weigh laundry and accurately document orders.
Keep each customer's laundry completely separated.
Follow customer washing and drying instructions.
Properly sort clothing by color, fabric, and washing requirements.
Inspect pockets and identify items requiring special handling.
Wash and dry clothing using appropriate machine settings.
Neatly fold and package completed laundry.
Verify orders before returning them to customers.
Maintain accurate customer/order information.
Keep wash-dry-fold work areas clean and sanitary.
Notify management immediately of damaged, missing, or questionable items.
Cash & Payment Responsibilities
When applicable:
Handle cash and electronic payments accurately.
Follow company procedures for refunds and credits.
Maintain accountability for company money during the shift.
Never remove, borrow, or use company funds for personal purposes.
Immediately report payment-system or coin-machine problems.
Complete required end-of-shift cash documentation.
Safety Responsibilities
Keep floors dry and immediately address water spills or leaks.
Place warning signs around wet or hazardous areas.
Keep aisles, exits, and emergency equipment unobstructed.
Know the location of fire extinguishers, first-aid supplies, emergency shutoffs, and emergency exits.
Follow manufacturer and company requirements when using cleaning chemicals.
Never mix incompatible cleaning chemicals.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when required.
Report injuries, customer accidents, equipment damage, leaks, electrical problems, or other safety incidents immediately.
Do not attempt electrical, gas, plumbing, or mechanical repairs unless specifically trained and authorized.

Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to:
Stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequently bend, reach, twist, and kneel.
Push and pull laundry carts.
Load and unload washers and dryers.
Regularly lift and carry laundry, supplies, and trash.
Perform repetitive folding and cleaning tasks.
Work around heat, humidity, laundry chemicals, and operating machinery.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior customer-service, cleaning, hospitality, retail, or laundromat experience preferred but not required.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Ability to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
Ability to follow company policies and safety procedures.
Ability to pass any company-required background screening.
What Success Looks Like
A successful Laundromat Attendant keeps the facility clean, safe, organized, and customer-ready at all times. Customers are greeted and assisted promptly, equipment problems are reported quickly, wash-dry-fold orders are completed accurately, and the next employee arrives to a facility that is properly stocked and ready for business.
Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment
